Dr. Michael Civin

Dr. Michael Civin, Ph.D has always spent a lot of time in the academic world and he still does. Though he officially became Michael Civin, Ph.D. in 1988, when he earned his doctorate from Adelphi, that wasn’t the extent or the end of Dr. Michael Civin’s education. In fact, Adelphi also awarded him a Postdoctoral Certificate in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy back in 1993. At various times in his life, he has been a full professor, associate professor and a faculty member in many institutions of higher learning over the years and he has published many scholarly articles in medical journals and chapters in very important books on psychology.

Dr. Michael Civin has been in practice for several decades now, but he never stops learning. He obviously love it, since he started by earning an A.B. degree with cum laude honors from Harvard in 1968 and followed that with his attendance at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1968 and 1969. In 1970, he was awarded his first Masters of Arts degree from the University of Oregon, but he earned another Masters of Arts degree, this time in clinical psychology, from Adelphi University‘s Derner Institute of Advanced Psychological Studies.
